Work Description
We will be removing the existing failing grease interceptor and installing a new code¿compliant grease trap in the same general location. Work includes excavation demolition of the existing interceptor installation of new piping connections setting the new interceptor and restoring the work area to grade. Detailed Scope: Excavate to expose the existing grease trap and associated inlet/outlet piping. Disconnect and remove the existing grease interceptor including damaged or non¿compliant piping sections. Install a new (City¿approved) grease interceptor sized per fixture count and City of Austin Industrial Waste requirements. Set the new unit on a properly compacted and leveled base. Reconnect all inlet and outlet plumbing using approved materials and fittings. Install new cleanouts as required by current code. Ensure proper flow line elevations and venting per Austin Water and UPC/IPC requirements. Backfill and compact the excavation area; restore concrete/asphalt or surface material as needed. Perform final testing for watertightness flow and proper operation. Submit required SAWS/Industrial Waste documentation including as¿built information and fixture count verification. No changes to existing building water distribution or sewer layout beyond the grease trap connections. All work will comply with City of Austin Plumbing Code Industrial Waste regulations and Whataburger operational safety requirements.
