Work Description

Addition and/or Alteration - STATEMENT OF WORK: FIBER CABLING: • Provide labor to install 288-strand singlemode non-armored ribbon fiber optic cable from the Head End to Comm Rooms 3.12.04, 3.37.03, 5.37.04, 5.08.03, 5.22.04 and North Tunnell IDF. • Provide labor to install of 6-strand fiber/conductor composite cable from Comm Rooms 3.12.04, 3.37.03, 5.37.04, 5.08.03, 5.22.04 and North Tunnell IDF as required out to twenty-seven (27) remote locations. • Provide labor to install the following equipment as required to facilitate fiber installation/termination: DESCRIPTION QTY 4RU rack mount enclosure (HE) 6 4RU rack mount enclosure (IDF) 12 24f SM polimods (HE) 8 24f SM polimods (IDF's) 14 6f or 12f SM polimods (Nodes) 27 Fiber splice ribbon - (27) 6 strand ribbons (HE side of the 288 strand) 162 Fiber splice ribbon - (54) 6 strand ribbons (IDF side of the 288 strand) (IDF side of the 6 strand composite) 324 Fiber splice ribbon - (27) 6 strand ribbons (Node side of the 6 strand composite) 162 • Provide labor and material to label cables, panels and enclosures. • Provide labor to test all fiber strands. • Provide labor to install one (1) optical splicing and distribution outdoor fiber enclosures at each of twenty-seven (27) node ends. PATHWAYS & FIRESTOP: • Provide labor to install j-hooks and beam clamps or mounting accessories as required to facilitate cable distribution. • Provide labor to seal all through penetrations of fire rated walls for telecommunications use to maintain necessary fire ratings. HEAD END RELOCATION: • Provide labor to relocate six (6) 288-strand fiber optic cables from temporary location to permanent location. • Provide labor to install enclosures, polimods and splice ribbons as required to facilitate relocation.
